Big Game from Vest As Spanish Fork Won 52-27

Starting off the list is Spanish Fork's Kaden Vest, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Vest rushed for 221 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 10.5 yards per carry, and also picked up 65 receiving yards and a touchdown. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his ninth straight game with at least 101 rushing yards dating back to last season.

Vest is probably looking forward to his next game, a home matchup against Timpanogos on Friday. When Vest last faced the Timberwolves back in October of 2023, he rushed for 108 yards and a touchdown on only five carries, and also picked up 30 receiving yards.

A Season-Best Performance from Griffin Demartini Leads Provo over Uintah

On Thursday, Provo got the W thanks in part to Griffin Demartini playing the best football he has all season. Demartini picked up 140 receiving yards and two touchdowns. He was no stranger to the big play, cutting upfield on a catch that went for 50 yards.

The win (which was Provo's sixth in a row) raised their record to 6-2. Demartini and Provo will challenge Mountain View at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

Oliver Mackay and Co. Win Sixth in a Row

Provo picked up their sixth consecutive win on Thursday thanks in part to Oliver Mackay. Mackay's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his ninth straight game with at least 100 rushing yards dating back to last season. He showed off some serious burst, turning on the afterburners on one carry for 51 yards.

Trevyn Wall Turns in Another Game with at Least Three Passing Touchdowns

Sadly, Trevyn Wall posting his best game of the season wasn't enough to lead Payson over Spanish Fork on Thursday. Wall wasn't messing around, throwing for 472 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 11.2 yards per attempt. The matchup was his third straight with three or more passing touchdowns dating back to last season.

Payson is on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8. Wall and Payson will face off against Uintah at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

Tate Allred Delivers Best Effort of Season

Salem Hills was led to victory by Tate Allred, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Thursday. Allred made 12 total tackles.

For the year, Allred has averaged 10.3 total tackles per game. That doesn't tell the whole story though: at this point last year, he was only averaging 6.33 rushing yards per game. This year he is averaging 58.56 rushing yards.
