Basketball Recap: Houlton Comes Up Short

Houlton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 51-45 heartbreaker at the hands of the Orono Riots. The matchup marked the Shiretowners' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Houlton now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Orono, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-5.

Houlton wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 66-49 defeat against Foxcroft Academy on the 18th. As for Orono, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 45-34 victory against Presque Isle on the 18th.
