Soccer Recap: Rodriguez Takes a Loss

Rodriguez was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were one goals away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of the Vacaville Bulldogs. While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 642nd, while the Bulldogs are ranked 165th).

Rodriguez now has a losing record at 3-4-1. As for Vacaville, their victory bumped their record up to 6-1-1.

Rodriguez will face off against River City at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. River City's last three contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Vacaville, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Pioneer at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
