The home team had come away the winner the last four times Burges and Jefferson had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Mustangs never let the Silver Foxes get on the board and left with a 16-0 victory on Friday. Considering the Mustangs have won ten games by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Miley Cardenas made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out eight over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in ten consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

In other batting news, Valeria Sanchez was a standout: she scored three runs and stole three bases while going 4-for-5. Those three stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Breann Mendoza, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.
