Archbishop Wood barely beat Monsignor Bonner/Archbishop Prendergast Catholic the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Archbishop Wood was the clear victor by an 8-2 margin over Monsignor Bonner/Archbishop Prendergast Catholic on Wednesday. The win was just business as usual for the Vikings, who after three games remain undefeated this season.

Archbishop Wood got a great performance from Richie Bayachek as he struck out six batters over five innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits.

At the plate, Caden Vacca was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, one stolen base, and two RBI. Jimmy Casey was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances.

Archbishop Wood's victory bumped their record up to 3-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Archbishop Wood will face off against Harry S. Truman at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Monsignor Bonner/Archbishop Prendergast Catholic, they are packing up and heading out for their first away game of the season: they will face off against Marple Newtown at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
