Softball Game Preview: Williams Field Black Hawks vs. Queen Creek Bulldogs

The Williams Field Black Hawks will venture away from home to square off against the Queen Creek Bulldogs at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday. Williams Field has given up an average of 10.3 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Williams Field is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 19 runs on Friday, they were much more limited against Queen Creek on Monday. They lost 16-1 to the Bulldogs.

Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.6 runs on average over those games. As for Williams Field, they dropped their record down to 8-13-1 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home.

Thursday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Williams Field hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .336.
