Basketball Game Preview: Lincoln Patriots vs. Mitchell Kernels

The Lincoln Patriots will square off against the Mitchell Kernels at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Lincoln comes in on ten and Mitchell on three.

Lincoln is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of South Dakota's top teams: Washington, who was ranked 21st at the time (Lincoln was ranked third). Lincoln blew past Washington 80-35 on Tuesday. The Patriots' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Meanwhile, Mitchell didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Roosevelt on Tuesday, but they still walked away with a 42-38 victory. That's two games straight that the Kernels have won by exactly four points.

Mitchell's win bumped their record up to 9-2. As for Lincoln, they pushed their record up to 10-0 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road.
