Softball Recap: Coalfield Takes a Loss

Coalfield fell victim to Sweetwater and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They came up short against the Wildcats, falling 15-0. Having soared to a lofty 14 runs in the game before, the Yellow Jackets' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

With the loss, Coalfield broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 3-4. As for Sweetwater, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-2.

Looking ahead, Coalfield will head out to take on Oliver Springs at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Sweetwater will be paying especially close attention to the Yellow Jackets' game: after the Yellow Jackets face off against the Bobcats, they'll take on Sweetwater again at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
