Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask West Carrollton). They came out on top against the Greenville Green Wave by a score of 65-57 on Friday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Pirates also won the last time the pair played back in January.

Greenville's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of John Barr, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 11 rebounds, and Drew Hamilton, who went 9 of 16 on his way to 22 points and eight rebounds. Barr is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for three straight games.

West Carrollton's victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Greenville, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-6.

West Carrollton will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Xenia at 7:30 p.m. on January 3, 2025. Greenville and Fairborn will round out the year against one another at at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Greenville is facing Fairborn at the right time seeing as Fairborn is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
