Preview: Centennial Patriots vs. Boise Brave
Centennial is 2-8 against Boise since December of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Centennial Patriots will look to defend their home court against the Boise Brave at 7:30 p.m. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Saturday, Centennial narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Thunder Ridge 40-37. The victory was just what Centennial needed coming off of a 56-24 defeat in their prior match.
Boise has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matches by 20 points or more this season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Saturday as they easily beat Mountain View 100-17 on the road. The victory was nothing new for Boise as they're now sitting on six straight.
Boise's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kaity Haan, who scored 20 points along with 8 rebounds. The matchup was Haan's fifth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Avery Howell, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 14 rebounds.
Centennial now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Boise, they have yet to lose a game on the road this season, leaving them with a 9-1 record.
