Basketball Recap: Madison-Grant Comes Up Short

Madison-Grant fought the good fight in their overtime game against Daleville on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 71-65 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Daleville Broncos. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Tuesday (63), the Argylls still had to take the loss.

Madison-Grant's loss dropped their record down to 10-12. As for Daleville, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 6-14.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Madison-Grant will face off against Muncie Burris at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Madison-Grant has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Daleville, they will square off against Tri-Central at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Daleville has given up an average of 61.8 points per game this season, so hopefully the team got some defensive drills in this week.
