Recap: Alma Airedales vs. Prairie Grove Tigers
After losing to The Prairie Grove Tigers the last time they met, the Alma Airedales decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Alma claimed a resounding 49-12 victory over Prairie Grove on the road. The result was nothing new for Alma, who have now won five matchups by 21 points or more so far this season.
Alma's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jackson Daily, who threw for 155 yards and three touchdowns while completing 76.9% of his passes, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. Carlos Gonzalez also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.
Alma's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 5-2. As for Prairie Grove, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-3.
Alma will be playing in front of their home fans against Dardanelle at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Dardanelle will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Arkansas Rankings (they are ranked 85th, while Alma is ranked 32nd). As for Prairie Grove, they will head out on the road to face off against Shiloh Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
