Baseball Recap: Louisa County Comes Up Short

Louisa County lost against Powhatan back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Lions fell just short of the Indians by a score of 10-8. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Lions have suffered against the Indians since May 11, 2015.

Louisa County has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-5 record this season. As for Powhatan, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Louisa County will challenge Goochland at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Lions are facing the Bulldogs at the right time seeing as the Bulldogs are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Powhatan, they will square off against Midlothian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Indians are on a three-game streak of home wins, the Trojans a three-game streak of away wins, meaning someone's leaving a streak behind.
