Softball Recap: Watsonville Comes Up Short

The Watsonville Wildcatz didn't have quite enough to beat the Palma Chieftains on Friday and fell 4-3.

Watsonville saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Audrina Rodriguez, who scored a run while going 1-for-2. Rodriguez also put up a double, which was her first of the season.

Watsonville's loss dropped their record down to 9-5. As for Palma, their win bumped their record up to 3-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Watsonville will welcome Everett Alvarez at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Palma, they will be playing at home against Salinas at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Cowboys' pitching crew has only allowed 2.8 runs per game this season, so the Chieftains' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
