Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Mesa walked away with it. Their defense stepped up to hand the Kofa Kings a 3-0 shutout on Wednesday. The Jackrabbits' defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last five games.

They hit Kofa with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Alonso Vazquez, Ivan Soto, and Evan Romero.

Mesa is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 16-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 33 goals over those ten contests. As for Kofa, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-4.

Coming up, Mesa will challenge Sunrise Mountain at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Sunrise Mountain will roll in looking for their 12th straight victory, something Mesa surely won't give up without a fight. Kofa does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
