After a string of four wins, West Aurora's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the South Elgin Storm. West Aurora were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as South Elgin apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

West Aurora's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 12-6-1. As for South Elgin, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-3-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. West Aurora will challenge Aurora Central Catholic at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. West Aurora will need to watch out since Aurora Central Catholic have now posted at least four goals in their last three contests. As for South Elgin, they will square off against Elmwood Park at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
