Baseball Game Preview: Rock Port Blue Jays vs. North Nodaway Mustangs

Rock Port is a perfect 5-0 against North Nodaway since April of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. Rock Port will be playing at home against North Nodaway at 5:00 p.m. Rock Port will be strutting in after a victory while North Nodaway will be coming in after a loss.

Rock Port's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. Everything went their way against North Andrew as Rock Port made off with a 10-0 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Blue Jays.

Dylan Lair and Rylan Hunter did most of the damage at the plate: Lair scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3, while Hunter scored a run while going 2-for-3. What's more, Lair posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Logan Ellis, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances.

Meanwhile, North Nodaway was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 22nd straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 17-0 to Plattsburg.

Rock Port now has a winning record of 2-1. As for North Nodaway, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Rock Port took their victory against North Nodaway when the teams last played back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 17-2. Does Rock Port have another victory up their sleeve, or will North Nodaway turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
