Football Recap: Trinity Christian Takes a Loss

Trinity Christian extended their losing streak to three on Friday, dropping them down to 3-5. They had to suffer through a 56-7 loss at the hands of Grapevine Faith Christian. Trinity Christian was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-7.

As for Grapevine Faith Christian, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-3. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five games by 33 points or more this season.

It was another big night for Jacob Montes, who picked up 181 receiving yards and two TDs, and also rushed for 69 yards and one score. Those 181 receiving yards gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Cody Bowman, who threw for 204 yards and four touchdowns while completing 71.4% of his passes.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Trinity Christian will challenge rival Southwest Christian School at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Grapevine Faith Christian is set to face off against their familiar foe Midland Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
