West Valley won the last time they faced Corning and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Eagles walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Cardinals.

West Valley walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the first set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 23-25, 25-22, 25-16.

Kelsey Morton paced West Valley's offense, picking up nine kills. Morton were helped by Marlee Byxbe and Kamea Simmons, who contributed 14 assists each. Byxbe also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Kylee Jaramillo, racking up four apiece.

West Valley has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season. As for Corning, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season.

West Valley didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-2 victory against University Prep on the 23rd. As for Corning, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Anderson on the 18th.
