Baseball Recap: Keystone Oaks Takes a Loss

After flying high against Washington on Tuesday, Keystone Oaks came back down to earth. The Golden Eagles fell 12-7 to the Prexies on Tuesday. The Golden Eagles were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Prexies earlier this season, when they won 15-4.

Brady McDine led a balanced group of hitters, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. He is becoming a predictor of Keystone Oaks' success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 4-1 (and 4-8 when he doesn't). Ethan Shartle was another key player, going 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.

Keystone Oaks dropped their record down to 8-9 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home. As for Washington, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 5-14.

While Keystone Oaks had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday.
