Basketball Recap: Tri-West Hendricks Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Parker Gibson and Ryan Miller

After flying high against Indian Creek last Saturday, Tri-West Hendricks came back down to earth. The Bruins lost to the Triton Central Tigers at home by a 65-51 margin on Friday.

Tri-West Hendricks' loss came despite strong showings from Ryan Miller and Parker Gibson. Miller posted 14 points, while Gibson had eight points and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Parker Anderson, who earned two points and seven boards.

Eli Sego produced another solid performance going 6-for-10 on his way to 24 points for Triton Central. Sego has been hot, having posted 15 or more points the last six times he's played. Another player making a difference was Brody Hartman, who put up 13 points.

Tri-West Hendricks now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Triton Central, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Tri-West Hendricks is packing up and heading out for their first away game of the season: they will face off against Lafayette Jefferson at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Triton Central, they will head out to challenge Christel House at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
