Basketball Preview: Carter-Riverside Eagles vs. Benbrook Bobcats        
        
		
            
 Carter-Riverside is 1-7 against the Bobcats since January of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit  on Tuesday. The Carter-Riverside Eagles will head out on the road to  challenge  the Benbrook Bobcats at 7:30  p.m. Carter-Riverside has now lost 22 straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since November 18.
 Last Tuesday, Carter-Riverside was the victim of a  tough 51-26 loss at the hands of the.
 Despite the  loss, Carter-Riverside saw an underclassman step up:  Johnathan Owens  scored 11 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points  Owens has scored all season.
 Carter-Riverside  struggled to get the ball back on offense and  finished the game with only four  offensive rebounds. They are  winless (0-5) when  they can't control their own glass like that.
 Meanwhile, Benbrook was able to grind out a solid  victory over the  on Friday, taking the game  43-31. The  victory made it back-to-back wins for Benbrook.
 Carter-Riverside dropped their record down to 2-24 with that  defeat, which was their sixth straight  at home. Those losses could be blamed on the team's  offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 20.3 points per game. As for Benbrook, their victory bumped their record up to 12-16.
 Carter-Riverside took a serious blow against the Bobcats  in their previous meeting  back in January, falling  65-21. The  game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Carter-Riverside was down  35-15.
