Football Recap: Kickapoo Takes a Loss

Kickapoo and Joplin squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Kickapoo had to settle for second. They came up short against the Eagles, falling 28-6. The contest marked the Chiefs' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Joplin's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Daniel Rose, who rushed for 35 yards and two TDs, and also threw for 186 yards on 15 of 23 attempts. Those two rushing touchdowns gave Rose a new career-high. 86 of Rose's passing yards were hauled in by Trenton McCadney.

Kickapoo's loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Joplin, the win got them back to even at 5-5.

Kickapoo does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Joplin, they will face off against Nixa at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Nixa's defense has only allowed 14.6 points per game this season, so Joplin's offense will have their work cut out for them.
