Basketball Recap: SA Roosevelt Rough Riders vs. Churchill Chargers

SA Roosevelt lost against Churchill back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The SA Roosevelt Rough Riders had to suffer through a 71-38 loss at the hands of the Churchill Chargers. While losing is never fun, the Rough Riders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 831st, while the Chargers are ranked 32nd).

SA Roosevelt's loss came despite strong showings from Maddie Castillo and Kayani Zackary. Castillo posted 16 points and five boards, while Zackary had eight points. Zackary has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last three times she's played.
