Softball Recap: South Webster Has No Trouble Against Minford

South Webster won the last time they faced Minford and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Jeeps blew past the Falcons 7-1.

Jaiden White made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out eight over seven innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one double. That double was her first of the season.

In other batting news, Addi Claxon was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Kaylee House, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

South Webster's victory bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Minford, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. South Webster will face off against Northwest at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Minford, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Chesapeake at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
