Volleyball Recap: Lincoln Takes a Loss

The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Railsplitters of the 3-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October.

While Lincoln had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 19 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 23-25, 25-19, 25-23.

Colby Watson paced Lincoln's offense, picking up 11 kills. Watson got some help from Madeline Stuhr and her 14 assists. Watson was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Skyline was led to victory by Allison Lee and Joci Wall. Lee had ten digs and two aces, while Wall had ten digs. That's the most aces Lee has posted since back in August.

Lincoln has been struggling recently as they've lost 11 of their last 12 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-33 record this season. As for Skyline, they are on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 16 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 26-11-2 record this season.
