(2-0), No. 3 in the MaxPreps computer rankings, dominated play and the clock, piling up 452 total yards — 343 on
the ground — to 223 total yards for Guyer. The Raiders had more than
three times the number of first downs, 23-7, and held the Wildcats scoreless the final 19 minutes and 25 seconds.
But Denton cashed in on a couple of turnovers and got 144 yards rushing and two touchdowns by
BJ Phillips
to stay close. It was the first first meeting between the two rivals since 2015
when Ryan won 31-28. Friday's win gives the Raiders a 5-3 series edge.
Hicks carried the ball 28 times and scored on a 27-yard touchdown run in the first half. Ryan was coming off a big 47-24 win over Martin (Arlington) at AT&T Stadium, while the Wildcats piled up 526 yards in a 56-33 opening win last week over Hebron (Carrollton).

30-23 on Thursday. The Mustangs trailed 23-21 late in the third quarter but scored the final
nine points to win their 17th straight game.
* Top-ranked Duncanville (1-0) prepared for its big showdown next week with national No. 1 IMG Academy (Bradenton, Fla.) with a 41-3 win over South Oak Cliff. The Panthers gave up just 128 yards and
Roderick Daniels Jr had nine catches for 183 yards and two touchdowns according to the Dallas Morning News.

Rockwall-Heath (Rockwall). The Texas Longhorns pledge got plenty of help from sophomore running back
Owen Allen, who topped 200 yards on the ground with four touchdowns. The game featured more than 1,200 yards.
