Soccer Game Preview: Pickens vs. Daniel

Pickens hasn't had much luck against Daniel recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Blue Flame will take on the Lions at 7:00 p.m.

Pickens is looking to tack another W on to their season record, something they couldn't quite do against Landrum on Wednesday. The Blue Flame and the Cardinals finished up their matchup with a 0-0 draw.

Meanwhile, Daniel entered their tilt with Berea on Thursday with four consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with five. They never let the Bulldogs get on the board and left with a 5-0 victory. Considering Daniel have won 11 contests by more than two goals this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Daniel pushed their record up to 12-3-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 23 goals over those four games. With that draw, Pickens' record moves to 6-7-1.

Pickens might still be hurting after the 6-0 defeat they got from Daniel when the teams last played on April 1st. Can the Blue Flame avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
