Softball Recap: New Miami Vikings vs. Lockland Panthers

Sadly, New Miami is still looking for their first win of the season after four games. Their rough 18-7 loss to the Lockland Panthers on Tuesday might stick with them for a while. The result was an unpleasant reminder to New Miami of the 21-6 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2023.

For Lockland's part, Mary Sales made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out six batters over five innings while giving up three earned (and four unearned) runs off four hits. Sales was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all five of her plate appearances. She is on a roll when it comes to hits, as she's now hit three or more in the last three games she's played.
