Recap: Legion Collegiate Academy Lancers vs. York Prep Patriots
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Charlotte Country Day School, the Legion Collegiate Academy Lancers were happy to have found some success on Friday. They blew past York Prep 76-53. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Legion Collegiate Academy also won the last time the pair played last Tuesday.
It was another big night for Aiden Cherikos, who scored 31 points along with 5 rebounds and 4 steals. The contest was his fifth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Zion Brown, who scored 16 points.
Legion Collegiate Academy pushed their record up to 2-5 with that win, which was their third straight on the road. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.3 points per game. As for York Prep, they now have a losing record at 2-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Legion Collegiate Academy is on the road again on Tuesday and play against Christ School at 5:30 p.m. on December 12th. Christ School will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak. As for York Prep, they will head out on the road to face off against Cheraw at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
