Volleyball Recap: Owensboro Catholic Triumphs

Owensboro Catholic posted their closest victory since September 11th on Saturday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Bryan Station Defenders 2-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Aces.

Bryan Station's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Lily Howard, who had 13 digs and three aces. With that strong performance, Howard is now averaging an impressive 10 digs per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Jojo Covington, who had seven digs and two aces.

Owensboro Catholic's victory bumped their record up to 17-8. As for Bryan Station, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 13-14.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Owensboro Catholic will venture away from home to take on Owensboro at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Bryan Station, they will head out to square off against Madison Central at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
