Football Recap: Unaka Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Unaka extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to nine on Friday, dropping them down to 0-4. They were dealt a 56-0 loss at the hands of the Cosby Eagles. If the Rangers were looking for revenge after losing 60-6 to the Eagles when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

As for Cosby, the win got them back to even at 2-2. Their offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Matthew McMahan looked great while leading his team to the win, throwing for 81 yards and three TDs while completing 83.3% of his passes. What's more, he racked up 163.2 passer rating, the most he's had since back in October of 2024. Speaking of playmakers, who could forget Gage McCarty, who went all the way with a kickoff return for a touchdown.

Unaka didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 26-0 defeat against Hancock County on the 19th. As for Cosby, they have also already played their next game, a 35-19 loss against North Greene on the 19th.
