Recap: Saginaw Rough Riders vs. Brewer Bears
The Saginaw Rough Riders's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fifth straight loss. They took a serious blow against Brewer, falling 80-12. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Saginaw has scored all season.
Tatum Stone was Saginaw's leading scorer, having posted four points.
Anabelle Aguilera held things down on the boards with seven rebounds. She took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with an assist.
Saginaw has not been sharp recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-14 record this season. As for Brewer, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 20-3 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Saginaw's road trip will continue as they head out to face Azle at 6:15 p.m. on January 5th. Azle presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Saginaw in Texas (Azle is ranked 417th, while Saginaw is ranked 901st). As for Brewer, they will head out on the road to face off against Aledo at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Aledo will be looking to extend their current 12-game winning streak.
