Basketball Recap: Millbrook Find Success + How To Watch

Millbrook's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They came out on top against the Green Level Gators by a score of 44-37. That's more bragging rights for the Wildcats, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Millbrook can attribute much of their success to Maika Jones, who went 5-for-8 on her way to 11 points and three steals. That's the most points Jones has posted since back in December of 2024. Lauren Brown was another key player, putting up 11 points and six rebounds.

Several Gators players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Claire Barber, who earned ten points and five boards. Sahana Lal also deserves some recognition as she grabbed her first steals of the season.

Millbrook now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Green Level, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Millbrook will host Bunn at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Green Level, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Middle Creek at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The Gators will be up against the Mustangs' rather soft defense (which has allowed 58.6 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
