Softball Recap: Superior's Win on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Superior made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Fort Thomas, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Panthers put the hurt on the Apaches with a sharp 18-2 win on Friday. The Panthers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by ten runs or more this season.

Lilliana Fritz was a standout: she scored three runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Stephanie Lopez, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances.

Superior always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .757. The last time their OBP was this high was back in April of 2024.

The victory was the fourth in a row for Superior, bringing their record up to 9-5. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 19.0 runs over those games. As for Fort Thomas, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-9.
