Kossuth dropped down to 9-6 on Friday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins. They came up short against the Alcorn Central Bears, falling 87-63. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Aggies have suffered since December 12, 2024.

As for Alcorn Central, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-6. Their offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

It was another big night for Wilson McDonald, who dropped a double-double with 35 points and ten boards. That makes it six consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Alcorn Central's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayse Johnson, who shot 67% from the field on his way to 19 points.

Coming up, Kossuth will face off against Mantachie at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Aggies will be up against the Mustangs' rather soft defense (which has allowed 57.53 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Alcorn Central, they have already played their next game, a 54-51 defeat against Corinth on the 10th.
