Soccer Recap: Imperial Plays to a Tie

For the first time since back in December of 2024, Imperial was forced to settle for a draw on Friday. They and the Calexico Bulldogs finished up on equal footing with a 1-1 draw.

Imperial's goal came courtesy of Enrique Guerra, who's now up to eight this season.

With that draw, Imperial's record moves to 10-4-6. As for Calexico, they moved theirs to 10-3-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Imperial will venture away from home to square off against Holtville at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Imperial's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end. As for Calexico, they will head out on the road to challenge Southwest EC at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Calexico is facing Southwest EC at the right time seeing as Southwest EC is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
