Basketball Game Preview: Pritzker Jaguars vs. Bulls College Prep Bulls

Pritzker hasn't had much luck against Bulls College Prep recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Pritzker Jaguars will venture away from home to square off against the Bulls College Prep Bulls at 5:30 p.m. Pritzker's defense has only allowed 29.9 points per game this season, so Bulls College Prep's offense will have their work cut out for them.

Last Monday, Pritzker came up short against Comer and fell 46-35.

Defeat or not, Pritzker got some senior leadership from Kalyne Rodriguez and Ezrielle Sanders. Rodriguez dropped a double-double on ten points and 14 boards, while Sanders posted six points and 13 rebounds. Sanders has become a key player for Pritzker: the team is undefeated when she posts at least eight rebounds, but 0-3 otherwise.

Even though they lost, Pritzker smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 12 offensive rebounds in eight consecutive matches.

Meanwhile, Bulls College Prep had to endure a nine-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They breezed by The Noble Academy to the tune of 39-8 on Wednesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Bulls have posted since December 10, 2024.

Bulls College Prep's win came from a few key players Pritzker will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Rihanna Baines, who earned eight points. The team also got some help courtesy of Lea Lobaton, who had seven points.

Bulls College Prep's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-12. As for Pritzker, their loss dropped their record down to 5-3.

Pritzker strolled past Bulls College Prep in their previous meeting back in December of 2024 by a score of 47-29. The rematch might be a little tougher for Pritzker since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
