Baseball Recap: Beverly Hills Makes It Four in a Row at Home

Beverly Hills took a ten-run loss the last time they faced off against Lawndale, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Normans sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-5 win over the Cardinals on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Normans have posted since March 21, 2024.

Race Findley was a standout: he scored a run while going 2-for-4. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Joe Rendon, who scored two runs while going 1-for-3.

Beverly Hills pushed their record up to 5-8-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.8 runs over those games. As for Lawndale, their defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 7-1 and their overall record down to 13-5.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Beverly Hills will challenge rival Culver City at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Lawndale is set to face off against their familiar foe Santa Monica at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Cardinals 3.6, the Vikings 2.1) so any runs scored will be well earned.
