Basketball Recap: Minooka Beats Metamora for Their Fourth Straight Win

Minooka entered their tilt with Metamora on Saturday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They came out on top against the Redbirds by a score of 57-47. This was payback for the Indians, who suffered a 47-42 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Leading Minooka to victory were Naya Carter and Madelyn Kiper. Carter almost dropped a double-double with 14 points and nine rebounds, while Kiper posted 22 points. That makes it eight consecutive games in which Kiper has scored at least a third of the Indians' points. Another player making a difference was Jaelle Hamilton, who put up five points.

Minooka's record is now 7-1. As for Metamora, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Minooka will face off against Plainfield Central at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Metamora, they will take on Lincoln at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
