Basketball Recap: North Platte's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

North Platte had to endure an eight-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They strolled past the Lexington Minutemen with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 45-26. The Bulldogs have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Minutemen, too.

North Platte's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Abby Kaminski, who went 6 of 9 en route to 16 points and three steals. Those 16 points gave Kaminski a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Addison Uehling, who posted ten points in addition to six rebounds and four blocks.

North Platte's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-8. As for Lexington, their defeat was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-11.

North Platte didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 41-27 loss against Sidney on the 18th. As for Lexington, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 60-30 defeat against McCook on the 21st.
