Volleyball Recap: Snow Canyon Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Isaac Jaster and Matthew Sierra Velasquez

Snow Canyon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pine View Panthers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 on April 3rd.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-19, 18-25, 25-14.

Snow Canyon's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Matthew Sierra Velasquez, who had 15 digs and two aces, and Isaac Jaster, who had 12 digs, eight kills, two aces, and one block. Sierra Velasquez is on a roll when it comes to digs, as he's now had ten or more in each of the last six games he's played.

Snow Canyon's defeat dropped their record down to 9-12. As for Pine View, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-8.

Snow Canyon wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-2 loss against Provo on the 3rd. As for Pine View, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 victory against Mountain Crest on the 3rd.
