Ira waltzed into their match on Friday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They walked away with a 54-43 win over the Comstock Panthers.

When it comes to explaining why Comstock lost, don't look at Creed Hardin. Despite the final result, he went 6 of 10 en route to 13 points. Hardin has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Edgar Crane, who posted 11 points and three steals.

Ira is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. As for Comstock, their loss dropped their record down to 7-7.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Eldorado the next time they take the court. Comstock will head out to face Eldorado at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, while Ira will play them later in the day, at 11:20 a.m.
