Basketball Recap: Albert Lea Takes a Loss

Albert Lea was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They came up short against the Red Wing Wingers, falling 63-39. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 323rd, while the Wingers are ranked 43rd).

Albert Lea's loss dropped their record down to 2-17. As for Red Wing, their win bumped their record up to 15-4.

When Albert Lea and Red Wing next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Albert Lea will try to stop Austin's five-game winning streak when the meet at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Similarly, Red Wing will square off against Owatonna and their 11-game winning streak at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
