Volleyball Recap: Chetek-Weyerhaeuser's Win on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Chetek-Weyerhaeuser waltzed into their contest on Saturday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Cumberland Beavers. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-0 back in September.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Chetek-Weyerhaeuser who won the one that mattered. The final score came out to 25-19, 10-25, 15-10.

Ella Turauski paced Chetek-Weyerhaeuser's offense, picking up nine kills. Turauski got some help from Joslynn Bohl and her 21 assists. Turauski was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Chetek-Weyerhaeuser's win bumped their record up to 15-17. As for Cumberland, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 17 of their last 18 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-27 record this season.

Chetek-Weyerhaeuser will square off against Clear Lake at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Cumberland, they have already played their next match, a 2-1 loss against Colfax on the 11th.
