Lee's Summit North is 7-1 against Truman since May of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Broncos will face off against the Patriots at 4:30 p.m. Lee's Summit North hasn't scored more than a single run for five games straight, a trend the squad is eager to reverse.

Lee's Summit North came up short against Liberty North on Monday, falling 9-1.

Meanwhile, Truman didn't have quite enough to beat Belton on Monday and fell 7-6. The Patriots have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Truman got a good showing from Cade Pleacher, who struck out six batters over three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Pleacher has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Caden Deeney made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 2-for-3. Brayden Branson was another key player, scoring two runs while going 1-for-2.

Truman's loss dropped their record down to 9-3. As for Lee's Summit North, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-5.

Lee's Summit North was able to grind out a solid victory over Truman in their previous matchup back in March of 2024, winning 7-4. Do the Broncos have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Patriots turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
