Baseball Recap: Rattan Now 7-1 over Last Eight Games

Rattan barely beat Valliant the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Rams never let the Bulldogs get on the board and left with an 8-0 victory on Friday. The Rams might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten games by seven runs or more this season.

Rattan has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-3 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.1 runs on average over those games. As for Valliant, they moved to 17-12 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Rattan and Valliant should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Oklahoma Rankings. The Rams will take on Red Oak at 4:30 p.m. on Monday with a big rank advantage (9 vs. 81). Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (Rattan has won three straight at home, while the Eagles won six straight on the road), something that'll have to change. Meanwhile, Valliant (ranked 113th) will meet Tishomingo (ranked 233rd) at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
