Basketball Recap: Metairie Park Country Day Takes a Loss

If Metairie Park Country Day was riding high fresh off their 41-11 takedown of King Charter last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Metairie Park Country Day Cajuns were outmatched by the Pearl River Rebels and fell 40-10. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Cajuns of the 65-29 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January of 2024.

Metairie Park Country Day's loss dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Pearl River, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-9.

Metairie Park Country Day is taking a road trip to challenge South Plaquemines at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Pearl River, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 50-20 defeat against Archbishop Hannan on the 31st.
