Baseball Recap: Cumberland Dukes vs. Buckingham Knights

Cumberland had lost nine straight at home dating back to last season, but on Tuesday they dropped their record down to 2-13 to make it ten. They came up short against the Buckingham Knights, falling 19-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Knights this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 27-0 back in April.

As for Buckingham, their victory bumped their record up to 14-1. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight contests by seven runs or more this season.

For Buckingham's part, Andrew Dorrier and Ethan Myers were major factors no matter where they played. On the mound, Dorrier pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Meanwhile, Myers tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Dorrier has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. At the plate, Dorrier got on base in four of his five plate appearances with four runs and one RBI, while Myers went 1-for-2 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
