Baseball Recap: Millington Comes Up Short

If Millington was feeling good fresh off their 8-0 takedown of Unionville-Sebewaing on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Cardinals fell 9-4 to the Patriots on Monday. The Cardinals were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Patriots earlier this season, when they won 8-0.

Drake Terwilliger made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 4-for-4 with two runs and two doubles. Landon Russell was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Millington's loss dropped their record down to 21-9-1. As for Unionville-Sebewaing, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 5-7.

Coming up, Millington will head out on the road to take on Frankenmuth at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Unionville-Sebewaing, they will be playing in front of their home fans against North Huron at 1:00 p.m. on Friday.
